The first four works on this page
are the result of analytical observation
projects with the goal of comprehension
of shape, proportion, edge, value, texture,
etc. through strict representation of
3 dimensional subject matter.
The following three images were achieved
through a more synthetic process.
Using two to three specific subjects,
(i.e. their hand, an old shoe that they have
found, and an animal of their choice)
Students are directed to explore the
dynamics of editing or altering what they
see. Overlap imagery, textures. Change
viewpoints and angles of subjects. Replace
a part or characteristic of one object with
another. Improvise.
